Version numbers are now two parts: 3.0 replaces the 0.9 line

An automatic update check no longer interrupts you — a short notice and a badge by the title, once per version

File integrity check: paste the published hash and PDM confirms the file is intact

A lighter download list, and old installers are cleaned up automatically
