How do I get started?

Install on Windows

  1. Get the installer from the Download page
  2. Double-click the setup file
  3. Click "Install" and wait
  4. The app launches automatically

Add to Chrome

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for the PDM extension
  3. Click "Add to Chrome"
  4. Pin it to your toolbar

  1. Open Firefox Add-ons
  2. Find the PDM extension
  3. Click "Add to Firefox"
  4. Confirm the requested permissions

Frequently asked questions

How can I verify the official installer?

Download PDM only from the official download page and compare the file SHA-256 checksum with the value published for that release.

Which browsers are supported?

Currently only Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are supported.

How do I install the extension?

Does it work on macOS?

Windows is ready today; a macOS build is coming soon.

Is a speed increase guaranteed?

No. Final speed depends on your connection, source-server limits, and its support for parallel connections. PDM can use up to 16 connections when available.

Are interrupted downloads resumed?

When the source server supports resuming, PDM can continue a download after a connection loss or system restart.
